He was exonnerated for that however one of Obamas close buddies was one of the keatings that actually went to jail. And ill take someone who left their sick wife over someone who's friends are terrorists who say "I am guilty of hell, and free as a bird, god bless america" with a preacher who yells GD america, not to mention louis Farakan. If you, I am assuming you would be using logic, and from your tone thats assuming alot, and put these two side by side and tell me Obama's friends, advisors, and alliances dont make the hair on the back of your neck stand up, I am worried for our country. I make no case for McCain, I would have maybe voted for Ron Paul, but not these chumps.

blah blah blah

This isn't even good trolling. Three posts of dead-horse beating over non-issues. Astroturf elsewhere.

William Ayers was an activist when Obama was 8 years old. This McCain smear campaign starts to look silly.

McCain in a BeliefNet interview in which said, "I would probably have to say yes, that the Constitution established the United States of America as a Christian nation." This despite the fact that the Constitution, which McCain has presumably read, does the exact opposite.

Former Bush White House aide David Kuo, now a BeliefNet contributor, said McCain was "pandering to what he thinks the Christian conservative community wants to hear."

It looked silly six months ago when it first came up. Now it doesn't even rise to the level of silly - it's just lame.

Let's not totally forget the McCain accepted the endorsements of the pastors Rod Parsley and John Hagee. There were media reports about Parsley's vitriol toward Islam and Hagee's denounciation of the Catholic Church as the"great whore" and statements like "Hurricane Katrina was the judgment of God against New Orleans."

Lots of pretty sick stuff out from these two fellows that McCain was "palling" around with.

Has anyone considered the consequences of putting this child Obama in the white house? I have heard some of the most idiotic and inept decision making in choosing thier candidates in my entire life. Mcain is sad as well, is this the best the republican party can come up with?!?! Obama is part of the freddy & fanny gang which broke this country. Does this matter to anyone?!

You don't read much do you

Senator John McCain’s campaign manager was paid more than $30,000 a month for five years as president of an advocacy group set up by the mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to defend them against stricter regulations, current and former officials say.

stories in the NYT, Newsweek and Roll Call accusing McCain campaign manager Rick Davis of continuing to receive financial benefits from Fannie and Freddie up until last month - contradicting what McCain and Davis both claimed to be the case

He stands for nothing and lies about everything.

pure bull pucky - not worth dismissing

The government in this country is so morally bankrupt its just sick and how anyone can tote a flag for any of these candidates needs to stop and think and do some research.

Love it or leave it.

Look at the people Obama looks up to and surrounds himself with. Character and associates matter greatly in a court of law so why should the same not apply with the leader of the country.

make a point, follow up with evidence, add a smidgeon of intellect.

Shame on everyone who casually tosses these gravely important issues aside and calls them "distractions".

Shame on you for making vague and unintelligible accusations

I am not voting for Mcain but against Obama. Its the lesser of the two evils.

it is your vote.

Age should not be an issue. Reagan never died, and how many heart attacks has Cheney had?

Reagan never died - you think he is still alive? Reagan was senile during the last 4 years of his presidency. Bringing up Cheney is pretty pointless.

commented: Well said. +8

so his alliances and friends hold no bearing for you whatsoever?!?! Are you serious?! Character and judgement hold you accountable in a court of law, but they don't matter for the president of the united states?!?!?! Tony Rezco, Jeremiah Wright, and Flager, William Ayers? I think his charcter and judgment stink!

You are just rattling off names without making a point.

I have been trying to find ths Flager dude but all I find are Pfleger and Flagler -- I am going to guess that you are referring to Father Michael Pfleger - so what do you have against him?

Rezco is in jail - so what, McCain's friends make him look like a saint.

Ayers - what is your problem with Ayers and why do you think that has anything to do with Obama? Obama was 6 years old when the Weather Underground was formed. The 2 barely crossed paths.

Reverend Jeremiah Wright - not much there unless you watch a video of his 30 years of preaching, cherry-picking the juicy parts.

Get a clue dude.

McCain's son was on the board of directors for Keating's S&L. Which guy are you saying was Obama's buddy that went to jail during the S&L thingy? Why are you mentioning Louis Farakan - I thought you said not to mention him? You are worried about our country but you toss around all these vague accusations stolen from some weird right-leaning blog without using a shred of logic then whinge about someone else not using logic - don't burst a vein dude.

I just had to feed the troll, he was such a pooty-head. I must have looked at the wrong heading - I thought he had a larger post count. That means I wasted electrons for nothing as he won't be back.

I think this troll just came back from one of those "Hate Obama" speeches that beauty contest runner up Palin puts on to incite Republican mobs to a fever pitch.

I watched the last presidential debate with a room full of veterans. However, when "My Friends" McCain made General David Patreus the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, there were some gasps. Folks were wondering how much McCain really knows about the military, particularly since the real Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is Navy Admiral Michael Mullen.

Sigh, I almost made this my avatar:

I just ran across this interview on Hannity and Colmes:

McCain answered, “Well, first of all, she's probably one of the foremost experts in this nation on energy issues. And she's responsible for – make a long story short, a pipeline, a $40 billion pipeline bringing natural gas from Alaska down to the lower 48.”

Besides the fact that there is no agreement to build the pipeline and it's not a $40 billion project, Palin's work on the pipeline would hardly make her “one of the foremost experts” on energy in the country.

But Palin's mojo didn't stop there. McCain continued, “She has been involved in these issues of energy in many unique ways, including being on the board that oversights the natural gas and oil resources and other resources in the State of Alaska. And so I think that there's nobody more qualified to take on our mission of becoming energy independence.”

I could not possibly watch the actual vid but you can if you have the stomach

I think this guy is trying to see how many forums he can post only once on.

He has the reputation of a one=post wonder

I wanted to clear up someone's earlier poisonous references to ACORN:

For Immediate Release: October 7, 2008

ACORN Statement from Bertha Lewis, Interim Chief Organizer, on Incident in Las Vegas:

"Over the past year, ACORN has worked hard to help over 80,000 people in Clark County register to vote. As part of our nonpartisan voter registration program, we have review all the applications submitted by our canvassers. When we have identified suspicious applications, we have separated them out and flagged them for election officials. We have zero tolerance for fraudulent registrations. We immediately dismiss employees we suspect of submitting fraudulent registrations.

For the past 10 months, any time ACORN has identified a potentially fraudulent application, we turn that application into election officials separately and offer to provide election officials with the information they would need to pursue an investigation or prosecution of the individual.

Election officials routinely ignored this information and failed to act. In early July, ACORN asked to meet with election officials to express our concerns that they were not acting on information ACORN had presented to them. ACORN met with Clark County elections officials and a representative of the Secretary of State on July 17th. ACORN pleaded with them to take our concerns about fraudulent applications seriously. One week later, elections officials asked us to provide them with a second copy of what we had previously provided to them. ACORN responded by giving election officials copies of 46 "problem application packages," which involved 33 former canvassers.

On September 23, ACORN had received a subpoena dated September 19th requesting information on 15 employees, all of whom had been included in the packages we had previously submitted to election officials. ACORN provided our personnel records on these 15 employees on September 29.

Today's raid by the Secretary of State's Office is a stunt that serves no useful purpose other than discredit our work registering Nevadans and distracting us from the important work ahead of getting every eligible voter to the polls."

Look here.

The many posters here that support McCain shouldn't worry, Fox News has declared McCain the winner of the last debate. According to them 86% of their viewers said so.

Bill O'Reilly is busy spitting at the 14% that didn't go along!

Oh my God, so that was the bald headed guy that was spitting at our house!

Looks like 86% Conservatives make up the viewers of the Fox News cable channel. Anybody surprised? After all it's Dick Cheney's channel, the only one he watched in his hiding post.

I heard old Palin will allow herself to be interviewed on Fox News only for the next few weeks.

Listening to Palin's endless hate speeches reminds me of a famous quote from Mahatma Gandhi:
"The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong."

I saw a couple of Cavuto's Faux Snooze polls in senior citizens centers:
Who would vote for McCain? - 5 or 6 hands up
Who would vote for Obama? - about 20 or so hands go up.
Cavuto say - there you have it, evenly split.

Folks in the background are begin laughing at him.

The older seniors couldn't raise their hand fast enough, eventually there would have been another 20 or so going for McCain.

commented: Don't put words in our seniors' mouths -1

Minnesota seems to be a hot bed of Obama hatred. The all white audience in the latest rally there booed even McCain himself, when he suggested that Obama was actually a nice man.

The older seniors couldn't raise their hand fast enough, eventually there would have been another 20 or so going for McCain.

I could not find the Cavuto bit so I will have to settle for Brian Wilson. If you think the seniors could not raise their hands fast enough, you gotta get a new brain. What are you talking 'older seniors', my great grandma lived to 104 and when I went to her 100th birthday party, she got up and hugged me and knew who I was. When she was 90, my great-aunt and some other relatives convinced my GGma to move out her home where she lived by herself and move in with her daughter because her daughter needed help after her heart attack. We grew up in Montana and we don't need some know-nothing young whipper-snapper telling us that our seniors don't know who we want to vote for or are too slow to show our preferences

McCain seems to be drifting closer to a strange kind of socialism. His taxcuts and all sorts of bailouts basically send the message, "If you vote for me, I will give you a million Dollars or more!"

The undisclosed fineprint says:
"Let your children and grandchildren pay for this one!"

I find it strange that Obama is one unknown stranger, possibly a muslim or terrorist, after two years of running for president, being looked over by thousands of experts. On the other hand Palin became "one of us" after less than two hours, coming from the unknown wilderness of Alaska.

Questions have been brought up and left unanswered. I would posit that Palin was underwent more scrutiny to date than Obama. Weird.

Democracy substitutes election by the incompetent many for appointment by the corrupt few.

Well said!

Another Senior Moment:

McCain: "Who is Barrack Obama?"
Voter1 : "Have you forgotten?"
Voter2 : "If you would read the newspapers, you would know!"
Voter3 : "He is that one, remember that one."

Lieberman whispering into McCains ear:
"Ask Sarah, she has him all figured out."
