TechTalkGal currently attends Hofstra University with a major in Computer Science (B.S. degree) and a minor in BCIS (Business Computer Information Systems). She considers herself a C++ programmer and works well in Linux, Windows, as well as Mac platforms.

What were those four cases and hard drives lying around in your basement?

I hope they aren't just for show...

Holy crapola. Pardon my french, but Dani, how do you afford those systems on a students income?

(thud.....) Sorry fainted!

I must be doing the wrong line of work. I can only imagine having a P4 3+ Ghz and a G4 4600 and 120GB HDs... two of them even.

Wow!

Well, she only ordered one 120gb hard drive. Buy.com screwed up and sent her two. ::whoops::

Anyways, somehow shes hiding something from all of us. She has a little more then a student's income. She has a great car: 2003 Acura 3.2 TL Type S, good computers, and a BIG house.

I think she's secretly making millions off the TechTalk banner ads. :-P

Oh, and I would like to point out that if you consider your "old computer" to be a 1900+, then your view of time is skewed :-P.

My old computer is a Pentium 90mhz PC.

The only NEW computers I have are the ones I build for other people. Heh

Oh, and I would like to point out that if you consider your "old computer" to be a 1900+, then your view of time is skewed :-P.

My old computer is a Pentium 90mhz PC.

I have a SGI Indigo with an R3000 33 mhz processor that still runs (yes its branded Control Data but it is indeed a sgi, got it for $20 CDN too), and a sun sparc 1+, this *will* work, if I get ambitious and decide to solder a battery to the nvram. Ahwell, one rainy day.

This is a bit belated, but congrats to tekmaven for the re-launch of the popular windows site www.bink.nu

Tek was selected by Bink to design the entire back-end for the site's recent portal makeover, which was finally launched a few weeks ago

Head over to bink.nu to see what tek's been up to lately!

Well, Dani is right. PC Mod Kingdom is now bascially lost into the internet dust - the domain will expire in about 90 days, and I don't think I'm going to renew it.

My new baby is Bink.nu - your spot for the latest computer news (with that great Microsoft skew ;) )

Random question. On bink.nu, it says:
most viewed thread is blah
and most read thread is blah blah

What's the difference between viewing a thread and reading a thread?
