My name is Danie.
I am from South Africa and in the Software Sales business.
I am interested in VB 2008 projects. I am basically self taught in VB and have designed a few small apps for private use and also for some friends.
I have recently undertaken to help a nonprofit organization to create a patient database with a VB front end. They were trying to manage patient info on a spreadsheet, and I felt sorry for them.
The last time I coded in VB it was on VB 6 (Which I just managed to get to grips with) . Now that I am on VB 2008 there has been a few changes and I am worried that I might have bitten of more than I can chew. So far my only problem has been connecting with and Access database for queries and updates. (The old VB6 connection strings don’t seem to work)
I hope to find some friendly people here who would be willing to give me some tips when I get stuck.
