First of all, I would like to say this is a wonderful forum. I saw the website on an ad above a Xatech chat box while helping a buddy code and design a flash game on VB. I'm pretty sure this will be the right forum for me, my first, and last. I would like to learn a lot of things, and help other people learn things as well. I'm very interested in computer programming. I'm working on HTML/CSS at the moment. (Started two weeks ago. Easiest launguage I've learned so far) However, computer programming is not my goal in life. I would like to be a chef or a restuarant entrepreneur.
Here are a few things about myself.

Welcome :) This is a great forum! I've been a part of quite a few, and none had a community quite like this one!

Being eager to learn and help others learn is a great quality, very admirable!
Computer programming is a great skill, as is web development. It's always good to be well rounded, especially as technology consistently advances.

The way I see it, in the future there will be two types of people.
People who lose their job to robots and machines, and people who CREATE those robots and machines. Which will you be? Lol.

I guess I'll introduce myself as well... I've been programming since i was 13. I've been fluent in html and other web developing languages since the 5th grade. I started the moment my family got AOL (haha!) and was determined to hack "neopets" so that I could rule the world of neopia. Classic. Really all that happened was every time i was the richest person in neopia... another IP address of mine was blocked with my accounts deleted. Go figure.

I ended learning C++ and C# on my own freshman year, and also worked on graphic design and got really good at flash and javascript.

Studied video game programming in college, but dropped out after 2 years.
Right now, im 22, and I work as a programmer/SEO specialist for a small company.

It's fun...
In my free time i experiment with the open source language Processing (SO much fun... Check it out sometime!) processing.org as well as Arduino and parallax.
I LOVE robotics and electronic projects, and eventually, in the future, i want to find a way to create electronic educational games and toys for children. Lol.

Sounds lame, huh? But it's just so much fun! ^_^

I'm not your average nerd... i'm actually insanely social (almost TOO social) and quite a lush.

Hobbies include fencing, drinking, video games, drinking, hoarding college textbooks, drinking, playing with my dog.

Favorite video games include all things Mario, Starcraft, Warcraft, Command and conquer games, PORTAL!!!, PORTAL!!!, Diablo 2, Age of Empires, Bioshock, borderlands, etc.... (I could go on for HOURS)

It's nice to have you here. Welcome :)

Wow, Thanks. I didn't expect a reply like that. Lol. I usually don't reply to my "introduction" threads either. :pretty:

There really are some super un-friendly community's out there. Too many!
