I found this movie highly entertaining. It sounds like a porn movie but it isn't. It's called Snatch and stars Benedicio del Toro, Dennis Farina, Vinnie Jones and Brad Pitt.
Unscrupulous boxing promoters, violent bookmakers, a Russian gangster, incompetent amateur robbers, and supposedly Jewish jewelers fight to track down a priceless stolen diamond.

The english dub is not good but the original language is good. It is worth the watch. There were certain scenes that would squeamish. I think the sequel come out next year and I can't wait to see.

Wikipedia says filming will start in 2013. Evans has intimated that this will be a trilogy. I've never understood the need for dubbing. Hate it with a vengeance.

I didn't know it didn't start filming yet. It's good to know.
Yesterday watched The Day, it says thriller but at times more gore. Also watched 95ers Echoes which was very weird and the bad acting and narrative story didn't help much.

I think I heard of that movie "The Day". I might rent it. The hobbit guy is in it. I think.

Watched Vares: Huhtikuun Tytot (Finnish detective) - series of them. This one was pretty good too.
Half way through Deadly Pursuit (or Shoot to Kill as it's also known), with Sidney Poitier and Tom Berenger. Loved it the first time I saw it. A bit dated now, but still good.
Waiting to see Merantau (Gareth Evans Indonesian film), a silat affair.

That movie old. Might have saw it on TV.

Merantau is his first film. I haven't got a chance to see that film. I might rent the movie in a couple of weeks.

Saw Merantau. Not as bloodthirsty as Raid. Same bunch of actors. Plods a bit, but gets into the action after a while. Then there's no going back. Really impresed with silat - much more entertaining than many of the other martial arts.

I will rent Merantau soon and see it. Thanks giving feed back for the overall film expectation. I think I have a higher expectation of Merantau base on The Raid. The thing is I can't compare the 2 films.
Saw "Looper" in the theater. Nice twist on a pretty worn topic. Good performance by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Not Bruce Willis' best. All in all, a lot of fun. 3 1/2 stars (out of 5)
Saw Prometheus and, although I got the story, I thought it seemed a bit of a let-down. The acting was good, but the story had too wary similarities to Alien. Okay, it was trying to be a prequel of sorts, but the shock moments fell a little flat because we've seen them before. If I hadn't seen Alien it would have made a bigger impression
Hopefully there will be a Directors Cut as was done with the sequel "Aliens". The Director's cut made that film a great deal better.

Happily munching my way throught the new Vares films (Finnish PI). I want to live in Turku! He seems to spend all his time getting drunk and fornicating. Although most of the women seem to be older / weird looking.
In the middle of Varg Veum (Norweigian flick) at the mo.

This past weekend I saw this short film called Killer Bean
I just watched "Let the Right One In" (Låt den rätte komma in). It was a pretty special vampire movie. I definitely recommend it.

I saw Syriana a few years back. I like it, it was a fine movie.
The Let the Right One In was the original version. I never saw it I read it was very good movie. I only saw the American version which is Let Me In. It was very good. I wish I had saw the original version first before I can compare which version.
Went to see the new Bond: Skyfall on Sunday and thought it was amazing! I wasn't a fan of the older Bond films because they were too light and toung and cheek (which they are supposed to be), but the Daniel Craig ones are darker, gritty and not about ridiculous gadgets.
