What are your five favorite albums of all times? This is a difficult question; for me this list changes yearly (at least) depending on what I am most into at the time, but I will try to determine now my five favorite of all time. My list is not in any particular order, only my five favorite OF ALL TIME:

  • XTC - "English Settlement"
  • Iron Maiden - "Powerslave"
  • The Sisters of Mercy - "Floodland"
  • The Stone Roses - "The Stone Roses"
  • Led Zeppelin - "Led Zeppelin"

Radiohead - "OK Computer"
Sigur Ros - "Takk"
Flaming Lips - "1983 - 1988 collection"
Nirvana - "In Utero"
Mars Volta - "Deloused in the Comatorium"

Just some that I like. I don't tend to rank music in terms of "greatness" usually.

How could I have forgotten the Smiths ?! :surprised Smiths\ Morrissey one of my faves ever still.

In no particular order :

  • Nick Drake - Bryter Layter
  • REM - Automatic For The People
  • Marvin Gaye - Whats Goin' On
  • A Tribe Called Quest - The Low End Theory
  • The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses

I have a varied taste and there are at least 15 others that almost get into the top 5 and my top 5 would probably vary day to day.

Guns 'n Roses - Appetite for Destruction
Eric Clapton - Slowhand
Sting - Fields of Gold
Metallica - Metallica
Eagles - Desperado

My favs:

  • Iron Maiden - Brave New World
  • Velvet Revolver - Contraband
  • Jimmy Eat World - Bleed American
  • Incubus - Morning View
  • Iron Maiden - X Factor

....and many more.

Some of the best, having a hard time defining a definite top 5.
And yes, none of them is less than about a decade old (says something about the quality of music these days)...

Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon
The Beattles - Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
R.E.M. - New Adventures In HiFi
Enigma - MCMXC A.D.
Eric Clapton - Time Pieces

The first Vinyl LP I ever bought was: Relics by Pink Floyd. Whenever I cannot decide what to play, I put this record on, until I do decide!
I think The Great Society: Live At The Matrix. Is one of my most played Vinyl (double) LP's, I did not listen to it before I bought it, but have never regretted buying it from Hairy Records, (second hand). UK.
As for the other three, I cannot say, just depends what mood I'm in. Each record has a memory for me. Mike. Rhyl. UK.

Limp Bizkit - Results May Vary
Nickleback - The Long Road
Panic! At the Disco - A Fever You Can't Sweat Out.
Linkin Park - Hybrid theory/Meteora (can't choose :P )
