ANTIOCH, Calif. - Two men who police said broke into a building to steal copper wiring got more than they bargained for: a room full of police officers. Police said 26-year-old James Ayers and Frederick Guilliee, 38, broke into the 40,000-square-foot building at about 6 p.m. Tuesday. [more]

What a bunch of idiots!!!!!!

dang man. Bad timing or what?

heard of such things happening quite regularly.
Funniest was a couple of kids deciding to rob a bar which turned out to be an after-duty hangout for the entire local police force...
Bust in with weapons drawn, everything goes deadly quiet as they see all the uniforms and face a few dozen service pistols.

Holy K-9! What a story, lucky for us many criminals are downright stupid. May be the smart ones get never caught, so we don't know about them.

In my area someone tried to steal copper wire which ended up being live wire and they were electrocuted.
