1. Acceptance of Terms

    1. DaniWeb® LLC provides the DaniWeb Connect API to you subject to this DaniWeb Connect API Terms of Service document ("API TOS"). By accessing or using the DaniWeb Connect API, you agree to be bound by it.

    2. As long as you follow this API TOS, DaniWeb® LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to integrate the DaniWeb Connect API within your web, desktop or mobile app.

  2. Acceptable Use

    1. You may not use the DaniWeb Connect API in violation of any law or regulation, or rights of any person, including but not limited to rights of privacy, or in any manner inconsistent with the DaniWeb Connect Privacy Policy.

    2. You may not use the DaniWeb Connect API in any app that transmits viruses or malware, includes adult content, promotes gambling, or otherwise violates any applicable law or regulation.

    3. You may not attempt to reverse engineer any portion of the DaniWeb Connect API. You may not attempt to exceed or circument any limitations on access to the DaniWeb Connect API, including but not limited to per-user and per-client rate limits, or otherwise use the DaniWeb Connect API in a manner that constitutes excessive or abusive usage.

  3. Limitations

    1. DaniWeb Connect is constantly evolving, and we need the flexibility to occasionally make changes to our API, including backwards incompatible ones. We will attempt to give notices of these changes via email to DaniWeb users that are using the API.

    2. You must not use the DaniWeb Connect or DaniWeb brands in a way that suggests your service is endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with either DaniWeb or DaniWeb Connect.

    3. You may charge for your app. However, you may not sell, rent, lease, sublicense, redistribute, or syndicate access to the DaniWeb Connect API.

    4. You must maintain a privacy policy for your app, which is prominently identified or located where its users may access it. Your privacy policy must meet applicable legal standards and accurately describe the collection, use, storage and sharing of data.

    5. You acknowledge and agree that DaniWeb has or may in the future offer products or services that are similar to your app, and nothing will prevent DaniWeb from doing so.

  4. Terms and Termination

    1. This API TOS will go into effect on the date upon which you begin accessing or using the DaniWeb Connect API, and will continue until terminated as set forth herein.

    2. You may terminate the API TOS by discontinuing use of the DaniWeb Connect API.

    3. We may change, suspend or discontinue the DaniWeb Connect API and suspend or terminate your use of the DaniWeb Connect API at any time and for any reason, without notice.
