So I am making a site for a local transmission company. I bought the site through GoDaddy like I always have...I am using HostGator as the space provided. I pointed the domain to hostgator and began making the website. I go to the site (www.montgomerytransmissionspecialist-al.com) and its no longer blank. Its like an odd search type ad system that a lot of mistyped sites are directed to. I go to the ftp area and I upload a "working in progress" basic index html file. The ads are not replaced. This crap just wont go away. can someone please help?

godaddy : 5-7 days for domain name registraion transfer of nameserver update

Do you think that it's relevant? Dont think I'm being a smart-butt lol I am just wondering if it is. On the GoDaddy domain area in my account it shows the name servers as being different.

pauses to avoid being sarcastic. . . . .

  • name servers map canonical names to ip

the canonical name for your site is registered at godaddy
mapping the name to the host is propogated from godaddy
usual delay is 24-72 hours
for some reason at the moment godaddy help screens suggest 5-7 days (worst case) in propgating name server changes, hosting changes, et al, before the site will be accessible from http: //canonical name

if that is not significant in not being able to access more than the default 'parking' address,
WTF is

It now says the site is under construction, in a single line at the top.

Shalomalom is that your .index.html

This site is currently under construction. Please return within 37 hours to view www.montgomerytransmissionspecialist-al.com home on the web!

if yes, the nameservers are updated, and x-fingers everything should work from now
