please help i just got a dell d610, been working fine. plugged in charger then a bang. charger light still green but wont charge or boot up at all its dead. i tried charging with battery out and tried swapping memory etc but nothing no life at all. battery is still charged. any suggestions or do i get a new motherboard, if so what ones will fit d610 unit? many thanks

Hi,
If your machine is under warranty it is best not to look too far. The sound of a "bang" and then it not working sounds like something has literally blown up. If under warranty, get it back to Dell, if not, I would suggest a small computer repair shop where you may get a free quote to repair.
