my dell is dead! it the power light comes on for 10 sec then goes off.
i hit the key board and it started to boot but then went off !
what do i do ?! the screen does'nt come on except when i hit.

Try starting the machine with the Ram removed.
If this makes any difference let us know and we will go from there.
Otherwise it sounds like its a mainboard issue and is probably going to be tricky to get fixed. But you might like to try using a different power supply with the machine.
