NOW what !!??
I recently hard a second hard drive crash which I managed to rescue with Disk Warrior.
Since than, every time I insert, say. a compact flash card or SD card or external disk my G4 insists it cannot recognise the disk and wants to initialize it.
If I format the card on the CAMERA the mac wants to reformat it - if I let the Mac format it the camera asks to reformat it...????
What is happening ??

Hello,

My best GUESS is that the OS is damaged, and you should re-format it and set it up properly from scratch. It is possible that a bunch of device drivers are damaged or out to lunch, and that is corrupting your system. Get the data off NOW, and re-build from scratch.
