A friend of mine sat on his ipod nano(4 gb silver model) and now it won't turn on.Any help highly appreciated as I am clueless about apple devices.

solved apparently software configuration problem

u can plug it on your pc, open Itunes than clic on rapair my Ipod. Is going to make new download from software.
