Is osX maxed out at 10.3.9 for the blue tower?

I realize this post is a year old but as it is unanswered...
For the PowerMac G3 the max OS is 10.4.11
Best to have the RAM maxed out at 1GB and a fairly recent 7200rpm hard drive of 40GB or bigger for best performance.
