What kind of Mac is it your camera is connected to?
Is it an internal camera (built into the screen) or is it an external (USB) camera?
What make and model of camera is it?
Have you checked that it is compatible with the Mac if it is third party?
Also, what version of OSX have you got installed on your mac? (Go to >Apple>About This Mac)
Give as much information as you can.
