Just got a new Sony Vaio SZ660NC through the door and had it running, all's ok. Sony update works it's magic - all ok.

Reboot, and NOTHING. Power will come on, bluetooth and power light come on but that's about it. HDD and DVD spin up but no further activity.

I was thinking perhaps the Sony Update screwed the bios?

If so - anything I can do?

Thanks!

bring it back to the service center if it is still under warranty perhaps the bios is corrupted already, try doing the update again check if it can work, if doesn't then maybe you screwed the bios, the worst thing is maybe got other chips affected on the mobo

Unfortunately I had to send it back to the service center - great!

Nevermind; hopefully it'll come back ok :)
