ASUS P5AD2-E motherboard confussion

I currently purchased the following devices to build my new PC and am havin alot of trouble tring to connect.

ASUS P5AD2-E Mother board
Wester Digital WD2000 Serail ATA HD with SATA connection
PLEXTOR PX-716A cd/dvd ATAPI drive IDE

I will not be using any of the RAID fuctions. I just want o connect 1 HD and 1
CD/DVD drive. I have 8 SATA connections on the motherboard but seem to be
all for RAID operation.
For the PLEXTOR, there are 3 IDE ports, the first is labled PRI_IDE1 whis for an
ULTRA DMA 100/66 sgnal cable. The second and third IDE are labled PRI_RAID1
and SEC_RAID1.
What it comes down to is where do I install both of these devices??

Plug the SATS connector into SATA slot 1, and the IDE cable for the CD Device can be pluged into IDE Port 2 (Not the primary IDE Port). Go into you BIOS, select:

Integrated Prehiprials Select:
Onboard IDE Devices.

Ensure the section Onchip Serial ATA Mode is set to IDE
Ensure the section Onchip Serial ATA is set to Enhanced Mode.
