My brother flashed his BIOS and now the computer won't start. His motherboard is an Abit AV8, and the flash utility was downloaded from the official site, and the official instructions were followed. There were no errors, and everything seemed to have worked fine, until he tried to start the computer again.

Long story short - can a botched BIOS flash be fixed without needing to re-program the BIOS chip? Is there anything that can be done?

Thanks :)

False alarm - turns out it was nothing to do with his BIOS, it was his RAM. Nevermind hehe. If a mod would just like to delete this thread I'd be most grateful :D

Thanks, and sorry :)
