Something showling my system down (hijackthis log incl)

My system was very fast till recently. It started with every now and again the mouse would seem to drag and i would have a lot of process activity for a bit. Has now got worse. I did have it so protected with anti-spyware utils that i was sure i would not get infected but i guess something slipped in. I noticed uninstalling msn messenger 6.2 helps a lot but it still slows down.
I removed a few bits of spyware including bridge.dll. Im surprised i even have to post as i usually get rid of spyware on other peoples computers but something is evading me :D

i did read it, like i said in the post i had removed that already. Im just hoping someone can spot something im missing, a fresh pair of eyes and all that.

The only thing I see there is that you are in need of your Windows Microsoft updates.
Please go here & install ALL critical updates required for your system.

Thanks but this was also done before the post. Only one update i did not have. SP6 and im not sure about downloading it yet. Is it worth it?

Going by your log you do not have service packs for either XP or IE6. SP2 for XP has some issues, so it may be wise to wait a little. You still need SP1 for both.

Your system can run slow if you have a virus.. but also if you have not done a disk clean up or defragment..

I have included a link in this post.. it has on this site tools you will need... and most are FREE!!! spyware stoppers, firewalls, antivirus programs etc etc.. the list goes on.. I go to this site when I need help or a free program..
