Trojan BHO virus

Hi

I hope I am posting this thread in the right place, it is the only Virus and Spyware thread I can find, if there is another forum I'm sorry, I hope someone can help.

I started having a problem with the speed of my computer a copuple of days ago when AVG alerted me to a Trojen BHO virus, since then I have painstakingly, due to the speed of my computer, down loaded and ran various virus software following advice from several forums and hope the info gathered someone can help me.

I have installed Spyware Blaster, HiJack This, Maleware Bytes, ATF-Cleaner, I have ran microsoft Windows Malisious Software Removal Tool and ESET Online, unfortunatly I was unable to save the info from ESET but the 3 files found were from Orange my internet servce provider.

I was unable to download Deckards System Scanner as this message came up;

"Deckard's System Scanner interacts with a specific rootkit (tdssserv) in a way that may make your system unusable (altering the svchost netsvcs registry entry). This download link has been removed until a fix is released by Deckard. For your own protection, please do not attempt to download this tool from other sites.

Also forgot to mention i have now uninstalled AVG and am currently using Avast as when I was looking for advice there seems to be a problem with AVG and False positives with Trojan BHO virus

Something else I have just this second realised I have a secondary hard drive F:\ which is no longer accessible and I am not sure at what point over the past couple of days this has happened

An update,

I think the BHO virus warning was due to AVG rather than a serious virus problem,now using Avast,

The missing F:\ drive came back with the twiddle of the wires at the back, doh!

And using Hijack this and google I have managed to suss the computer processes and with sensible consideration removed a couple of CPU zapping but unrequired processes. Though I might add not always recomended.

this has seemed to solve the problem but realistically sooner or later I will need to upgrade my computer as the computer I have cannot be upgraded further and is probably the main problem.

I know how busy everyone is and I just thought that there was not much wrong when I didn't get a reply, I just thought I was over reacting, hence doing more reaserch on the net

I have removed the O2 - BHO: WormRadar.com IESiteBlocker.NavFilter - {3CA2F312-6F6E-4B53-A66E-4E65E497C8C0} - C:\Program Files\AVG\AVG8\avgssie.dll (file missing) but some of the others listed I was not too sure about but i will remove them today.

Thank you for the tip about the fire wall, and I do have spyblaster. I don't feel qualified to input anything to the site but I am truly grateful for the advice I read or receive

Most of those I listed were merely orphaned entries [files called but not there anymore...], it was only the two O4 entries that I thought were of some concern, plus their related files.
Comodo is a complex but thorough firewall and system defense, some will not like it because of that...
