still having problems after hotoffers issue

I was struck by the hotoffers.info virus earlier today. I've deleted some files, and am now able to get my homepage to stick as I want it, with the exception of yahoo..when I type in url for yahoo or goole I get the search assistant website. Please help.

O16 - DPF: {1D0D9077-3798-49BB-9058-393499174D5D} - file://c:\counter.cab is a trojan. Other than that, I'm not too experienced at hijackthis to just look at the log and tell you much else. From what I've read about it, you may have trouble removing it. Try killbox.exe to get rid of it if you have any trouble. I hope I've provided some kind of help

Before we begin, let's move HiJackThis to it's own folder; like c:\HJT. When we're done 'cleaning' off your system, we're going to 'flush' the temporary folders which, with HiJackThis in it's current location, we'll lose both the program and the backups it creates. These backups are important in case we need to restore any 'fixed' entry(s) later.

Also move the "Backups" folder, for HiJackThis, if present.

Run HiJackThis and click "Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:

R3 - URLSearchHook: transURL Class - {C7EDAB2E-D7F9-11D8-BA48-C79B0C409D70} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\SEARCH~1.DLL (file missing)

Fix the following 01 entries only if you never entered them.

I made all of the changes listed. I was unable to find the countercab.exe file. But so far so good. Things seem to be working ok. Thank you for your help. Below is the new log.

It's probably a good idea to defragment your hard drive too. This may well improve the performance of your PC.

Download, install and run Cleanup! from Steven Gould, then:

1. Click "Cleanup!"

(wait for the program to finish scanning your system, and selecting files to be removed.)

2. Exit the program and reboot the computer, if necessary.

If everything is running ok, let's do the final cleanup...

1. Run "Disk Cleanup" and allow it to remove everything it finds.

2. Go to www.trendmicro.com and click "Free Online Scan", then "Scan now, it's free!". When it's downloaded, select all available drives, then check(tick) "Auto clean", then click "Scan".

3. Run AdAware SE Personal and "perform a full system scan", then Spybot S&D, and "Check for Problems". Let them both remove the residual 'problems' left that HiJackThis couldn't fix.

4. Disable, then re-enable system restore; with a reboot in-between. Then immediately create a new system point manually.
