Hi I'am new to this but I really need to clean out this computer. I tried to follow the threads on how to remove aurora. As I was on safe mode I tried to run the nail fix but when I clicked it it said the nail fix was'nt unzipped all the way so I tried to reboot in normal mode but when I did this all my Icons were gone and the windows start button was gone. so I freaked out. I didn't know what to do so I kept rebooting and nothing would appear. So I got desprate and pressed control alt del and the task manager appeared and i was able to use a restore point to fix the computer. Now I am paronoid so I will post a HJT log and wait for Advice.

I don't see Aurora in your log, but you do have some other things to clean up.

Go to Add/Remove Programs in your Control Panel and remove (if present):

Aprps
Ebates_MoeMoneyMaker (or something similar)
A program that starts with FLAWON
And...
Window Search
Window Searching
Lop.com
LOP SEARCH
Browser Enhancer
Ultimate Browser Enhancer
You may be given a code to insert, do so and reboot when done.
If the ones listed in the second batch are not there, run this uninstaller:
http://members.rogers.com/rjmac/new_uninstall.exe

Now, reboot into Safe Mode and run a full system scan with Ewido (even if you've already done it, please do so again). Note: you will be posting the log from this scan with your next reply.

Still in Safe Mode, scan with HijackThis and have it fix the following entries:

Close any open windows, other then HijackThis, and hit Fix checked.

Go to the following locations and delete the highlighted file and folders:

C:\WINDOWS\dsr.dll

C:\Program Files\Aprps
C:\Program Files\ the folder that starts with FLAWON
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\log warn show joy
C:\Program Files\Ebates_MoeMoneyMaker

Do a search for, and delete, loarenv.exe

Empty your Recycle Bin and reboot.

Close any open browser windows, scan with HijackThis, and post a new log along with the Ewido log.
