Well i got this prblem the other day and I have no clue what to do. My internet explorer 6 cannot access hotmail web page. I type in hotmail.com and it comes up a blank screen and says done and the bottom of the page. Also with outlook express i can log in but it will not load up new messages, it continues to say "loading". Ive tried to access hirepoint.com and no go either. Ive checke dfor malware and cleaned it all. Tried to fix problems buy going to control panel, add/remove programs, and trying to fix it that way. Iv tried run, sfc /scannow, went through the whole process and nothing happened. So i dont know what to do. But the broswer itself works with most of the pages on the net. Just a prob with hotmail, outlook, and this other site hirepoint.com. I have firefox on the computer now but i jsut want to fix this prob with IE 6.

Hi, please boot into safe mode, and configure windows to show hidden files.

Instructions to do that:

1 Click the Start Button

2 In the Start menu click Control Panel

3 In the Control panel Window click the Folder Options Icon

4 The folder Options Window will now Open

5 Click the View Tab

6 In the view tab window look down the list for a section marked Hidden Files and Folders

7 Enable the option Show Hidden Files and Folders by left clicking the radio button on the left of the option with your mouse. Then uncheck Hide protected operating system files. CLick yes to the dialog.

8 Press the Apply button

9 On the next screen press OK to exit

10 You should now be able to view the hidden files and folders.

------------------------

1. If the computer is running, shut down Windows, and then turn off the power
2. Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on.
3. When you see the black-and-white Starting Windows bar at the bottom of the screen, start tapping the F8 key. The Windows 2000 Advanced Options Menu appears.
4. Ensure that the Safe mode option is selected. In most cases, it is the first item in the list and is selected by default.
5. Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.

Then please scan again with HJT, and place a check next to the following.

Hi, Run HJT again nad place a check next to the following items.

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {6FA58F65-410E-DF7A-25F7-E48F26AAD69F} - (no file)

O16 - DPF: {C4925E65-7A1E-11D2-8BB4-00A0C9CC72C3} (Virtools WebPlayer Class) - http://player.virtools.com/download...0/Installer.exe

The 015 entries are back. Did you choose not to remove them? Or did they dcome back by themselves? Looks like Demented might reply, lets see what he has to say about them ;).

ive checked them but they keep coming back for some reason. The *.free.crazywinnings.com keeps coming back too. I went to internet options and tired to get rid of it since it labeled trusted sites and as soon as i go back into the trusted sites tab it comes back. It wont let me add*.free crazywinnings.com to restricted sites either. argh!

Hmm, I dont see anything in there that strikes me as odd. Have your tried having HJT fix them in safe mode? If so, wait and see if d3m3nt3d finds anything.
