My laptop is infected and I have tried everything I know to clean it. I now need your help to interpret the attached Hyjackthis report.
My normal anti-virus/Firewall is ESET NOD32.
I have run the following, in Safe mode:

  • NOD32 Virus checker
  • Adaware
  • Spybot S&D
  • Karpersky
  • MalwareBytes

All programs found some nasties but I am still infected.
Thank you in advance for your help.

If you've been potentially infected to the point you can't rid it from safe mode you'll have to try third party recovery, such as through sportmau or acronis, other software that can let you access the PC's environment without using the OS.

Another example would be to use a linux / windows bootable disk via USB or CD that can let you enter an OS environment and run virus / rootkit / trojan scans.

If this still does not rectify the virus, you're only best bet is to backup all files you need on an external drive, wipe & start clean, and thoroughly scan the contents before introducing to your clean PC

I'm not positive base on your post, but it may also be your OS is damaged because of the virus cleaning, and that you may have to re-do the PC regardless.

Hello, Nigel. If you can only run logs/scans in Safe Mode then fine, but it is important to run them in Normal Mode if it is possible. Some malware does not load in Safe Mode, and can be hidden.
For this, disable your Spybot Teatimer service. [SpybotSD TeaTimer]
Start Hijackthis [in Safe Mode], and scan again, place checkmarks against the following entries if they exist, and press Fix Checked.

Now delete these two files:
C:\ProgramData\8e0lRvn4.exe
C:\ProgramData\JmPLtYueNQUfDI.exe

Good, now scan again in Normal Mode, say how things are.
A small point: I would remove Adaware.. it's not the leader it once was.

There are spywares attached to the computer that can only be removed from antispyware

Seems like the problem has gone over to maintenance. You need to go with system restore or try recovery to make it fresh

I use a program called rogue killer its a good little program follow the instructions of program theres a icon on site that shows a circle with two traingles inside it one upside down thats the download link program will get rid of rootkits etc i fix pcs and get rid of viruses and spyware etc and this is one program i use

hello,

If you have tried all those antivirus/malware programs and still can not the rid of the problem, I would recommend saving your data to an external device and reinstalling the OS to factory defaults. You will have to reinstall all the programs that did not come with the pc originally. Hope this helps.
