HELP! Trojan+Keylogger = Non-functioning Computer

Dragging icons on the desktop won't work however I can delete them.
I can't drag file inside of folders either. Copy and Paste
will not work either.
Internet Explorer window closes as soon as it's double clicked
Microsoft Outlook Express brings up Internet Options window

Explorer ID will occasionally change Session ID.
A process will show up for a split second every 10 seconds
in the Task manager called "searchprotocolhost.exe" under my
username.

I saw a MS-DOS prompt for a split second on rebooting my computer,
After double clicking on the e-mail file. I disconnected from my
network so I hope I stopped it from transfering the .dbx file for
my e-mail in time.

Went into Windows/TEMP and found some files. Tried deleting them all
but I get a message saying "Cannot delete Perflib_Perfdata_784: It is being used
by another person or program. Close any programs that might be running the
file and try again. After I'll post a hijack this log and hope you guys
can still save me. If that doesn't work I'll try system restore
but im not so hopeful about that since a lot of the time the virus' somehow
stick to the registry.

Just noticed it won't let me terminate the process AluSchedulerSvc.exe saying
access is denied even though I'm an admin. Also when I try terminating
searchprotocolhost.exe I get the operation could not be completed. The operation
s not valid for this process.

No doubt about it that they probably have the SAM file sent to them by now
and all they need to do is use SAMInside to crack it. If I change the password
now it won't help as I still have the keylogger/trojan/both. So
how would I go about doing this? I don't want my machine to have
more data hijacked or be used for malicious purposes.

This once perflib file makes all the others I just
deleted come back. Going to go in safemode and see if I can delete this one. Went into safemode to delete it but the TEMP folder was empty so no idea what happened to it. Possibly the process that creates it wasn't running because of it being in safe mode meaning no such file existed.

Deleted those with AVG and did another scan and they didn't snow up again
but computer is definety still acting funny and I haven't dared connect to the
internet again since I saw the MS-DOS prompt.

BTW I don't mind system restoring so if that would be the easiest way I would be happy to do it.
I'm just worried that the trojan may have been on here for a while and only took action up until now.

I'm using AVG but I haven't really seen it block virus' from getting on my system. It's just as good at cleaning them up once they're already on. I have a "shared" copy of Norton but I think that was the root of the problem to begin with. And yes I have special pack 2

If it helps, I have a vista CD that I got through the Redemption program from Newegg when I bought XP. I wanted to install it on my second Hard drive so but keep the Windows XP files on my first one. I would just have all the apps and media in a shared my docs folder on the first one. But that's beside the point. I'm just saying if need be I can go into the Harddrive and get rid of some of the stuff without having it execute if need be.

Deleted the stuff you wanted me to. The internet explorer (I'll get opera or something after this is done) window now opens without closing (haven't connected back to the internet yet for fear of having the logfile sent out) The e-mail icon still just opens the internet options tab so I'll have to see if it's just a matter of creating a new shortcut and if all that was changed was just the target address for it or if the internet options window popping up when the e-mail button was clicked actualy triggers something. Don't know if this is helpful or not but searchprotocolhost.exe is now running all the time instead of going away and coming back. It's an e-mail protocol so not sure if its there to send the logfile to the malicious user once I connect online or if it's actualy just clean and doing what it's supposed to. Anyway to compare it to a regular one? Here's my new Hijackthis log.

Alright thanks a lot. Was worried because I had 7 svchosts running at the same time (still do) as well as having a certain IP address outside of my local network connected to my computer everytime I enabled the wifi connection. (netstat -n). Could it be that it's just a server of some program that is searching for updates (ie: virus definitions, updates, ect.) or is this something I should be looking at. I believe the port it's entering through is 1863

EDIT: Sorry not to be a pain but I ran Rouge Spy and it found nothing. Since I hadn't been connected to the internet for a while I updated Norton's virus definitions and di a scan. Norton found 4 instances of Trojan.ByteVerify as well as Spyware.ArdaKey. It said it supposably deleted them but is there anyway to be sure?

WPA is more secure WEP can be hacked in less than a minute anymore.

I think Port 1863 is used by MSN.

My family actualy prefers to keep our network open seeing as how WEP is too easily cracked anyway and it's less of hassle seeing how we use a multiple of devices to connect to it, some of which don't have the option to use WPE as an internet connection.

I don't use MSN, although windows does have it as it came with the box. Is there a way to sniff if someone else may be using my connection?
