My computer is running very slow. I have been 2 days dealing with this problem, almost no sleep. Computer syptoms: When I try to remove software from control panel, add/remove it starts the unistallation, but once it gets 1/2 way in dll, it goes idle. 2) when using internet to download or install it goes idle and then browser appears as (Firefox not responding), then a window pops up with something line run win 32dll error window. I try to close windows and computer crashes, even desktop icons disappear sometimes. I have included the hijackthis log. Hopefully someone can help me!!! Someone told me I will have to buy windows xop and reformat and install , since I lost many software and computer stuff and other items during moving. Hopefully someone looks at this log and this can be solved in another way and not to reinstall.

OPerating System is Windows Xp

Let me know if you need more info on machine specs

Thanks a bunch

Hello, pr lady.... win32.dll would have to be some third party software, not windows... do a search for it in explorer and check its properties. Then rename it to win32.dll.old
Nothing looks bad on that log, but pls try this [if IE will let you do it...]:
==Get CCleaner from http://www.ccleaner.com/ - and put it in a new folder. You should aim to keep this one for general use. I set the installation checkboxes only to open from the recycle bin. It's neater that way.
Now run CCleaner from the recycle bin rclick menu using its default settings [if you set up CCleaner as i suggested, rclicking the bin icon should give you the Open CCleaner option...]. Select the Cleaner icon, press Run Cleaner.
[For future quick temp file cleaning select the options you wish to use via the Windows and Applications tabs ..]
==Please use IE to do an online scan at panda:- http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/activescan?
-select a link to the scan... free online virus scan...., enter a valid? email and follow through, choosing My Computer for a full system scan.
Post the log it produces here.
=delete you copy of hijackthis and..
==download hijackthis: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download5554.html
-install it to a new folder alongside your program files and then... rename hijackthis .exe to imabunny.exe
-in that folder start HijackThis by dclicking the .exe; now close ALL other applications and any open windows including the explorer window containing HijackThis.
-click the Scan and Save a Logfile button. Post the log here.

RE the XP CD?.. if you have a legit copy installed then just get a friend to burn you a copy of their CD [try to get the same type and update version.. eg OEM or full], and make sure to extract your product key from the machine if you don't already have it written somewhere eg the COA sticker on side of box...if u do finally reinstall.
