I recently downloaded a live solaris version 10 CD. On booting from CD it takes me to a minimal grub shell that requires me to load the kernel first.
I have tried this with the various commands available for the grub shell but nothing is coming.
Please assist.

Jump to PostI had the same problem. You probably downloaded the opensource version. I concluded it doesn't yet work and tried Sun's 'proprietary' previous release, which boots more nicely.

I use the open solaris version
Thats wierd because on mine i just hit enter at GRUB and it just boots fine
i have got the same problem, but i use Nexenta......
