I am new to linux...
& not a single software is getting installed.....
It is showing error that " E: Unable to fetch some archives, maybe run apt-get update or try with --fix-missing?"
I am not getting hw to overcome this......can any1 tell??

You'll need to be a bit more specific. What Linux are you running? What command are you issuing to get that error? I guess you're using Ubuntu?You could try
sudo apt-get update // This will update your repository
and then
sudo apt-get install < name of package …
