i have downloaded Mac os x 10.6 beta from net. its file size is 6.8 gb, how can i burn in a DVD od 4.7 gb....i tried using Toast its asking another DVD....perhaps i dont know how exactly to use the TOAST ....i need help ......pls tell how to burn the 6.8 gb file size using toast...its a dmg file..Or is there any other softwre to do it

Please, if thats an illegal version of OSX you are referring to... stop right there.

If not, your problem is because its a dual layer disk (DVD-9 - ~8gb). You need a blank DL disk (more expensive than normal) and a burner which can support it (recent ones mostly do as well as higher end older ones)

is there a way to compress it in a 4.7 gb DVD...bcoz The dvd whic i have for 10.5.6 is 4.7 gb ....but while installling i can see about 6.5 gb....Can i compress and burn it using toast......

There is no downloadable version of 10.6, unless you're an Authorized Apple Service Provider. If that's the case, you wouldn't be asking about burning a DL image to a SL disc.
