I have just bought a macbook air and have set up all my email accounts except one - my btinternet account [bt/yahoo]. Each time I try to set it up it defaults to an a imap account which I do not want.

I have tried editing it once it is set up but that does not work as it still thinks its an imap account. I am sure some of you out there know better.

I called Apple last night and they said it can't be done. There is no provision of a check box to set up account manually. The operating system is OSX version 10.8.2. I
