Hotmail/E-Mail Login Problems

I am having one heck of a time trying to login in to my hotmail account, facebook account, and my school e-mail account. I can login in to any other websites except for these three.

I have ran Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D, RegCure and nothing is working, considering my school e-mail and hotmail e-mail are my contacts to people, friends and family so I really need some help to try and figure out this problem.

Whenever I try to login to these sites it goes to a screen that says IE could not open this page, as if I were not connected to the Internet.

Also I am not on my schools internet service so I know that is not the problem, I have also tried other browsers, Firefox, Flock, Opera, etc and the same thing happens.

Any ideas?

Another thing I just figured out since no one can seem to help me......is that I can access these othe websites through web proxys like kproxy and btunnel..........but not all features on the websites work.

Just another thing to add........does that help anyone possibly know what could be wrong?

Are you going through a proxy? Do you have some sort of program on your computer blocking cookies? Like Norton Internet Security for example?

Are you having any trouble changing the background on your desktop? If so, I think that you have a corrupted entry in the registry that causes login problems to hotmail and others

The entry will be located in the HKeyCurrentUser section.

HKCU\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\policies\system

delete corrupted value in right pane that says background (it will have lots of garbage characters in it).

I can not login to my hotmail account. someone hacked into my account and sent my contacts bad emails and now I can't login into my account at all. The passowrd has been changed by hotmail I can't even close the account. What do I do to get in and get all my old contacts and close the account?
