Ok so I am having problems with my nVidia Geforce 7900 GS graphics card and it messes up a whole lot when I play video games on my PC, and I don't know, but theres another problem, if this is caused by my video card as well but on some songs I try to play they'll go in slo-mo or not play them right. I am using Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit. I've had my comp for 2 and a half years now and I've never had problems with the graphics card. I recently upgraded to 2GB of RAM in my PC and installed the RAM and the RAM seems to be working fine, and I've done memory tests on it and no problems were detected with it, I'm not sure if this is the problem or not. Here is a video of my graphics card messing up on me while I was playing EverQuest http://www.xfire.com/video/1623a7/ My graphics card messes up on just about every game I have.

Artifacting like that is a classic indicator of overheating or undervoltage. Maybe card damage.

Does that mean I will have to buy a new graphics card?

Possibly. How many watts is your power supply anyway? (and its +12v rated current? - if you cant find these out dont worry about it for now)

And you may need to clean out any dust from the fans/heattsinks on your graphics card. Also ensure you install the newest drivers from Nvidia.

This tool should be able to tell you (under sensors?) how many degrees your card runs at. Doesnt work for all cards, but works on my 8600 so i dont see why it woulnt on a 7900.

Post these informations and we can investigate further.

I don't know about my power supply, but GPU-Z says my GPU tempeature is 59.0 C and it shows a green symbol on it that says MIN for minimunm, but that's just my temperature while running Internet Explorer, I haven't checked it while playing any games yet.

Thats fairly normal. I am 55-75.

So do you have any idea what the problem might be with my graphics card?

Does it act strange if you put your old RAM back in?
