It's up to your windows system, for example if your CPU Supports windows X64, and you're inatalling windows X64, then you should keep the Redistributable X64.
secondly, if you're using WIndows 7, you need to keep Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 and remove the 2008

If you're using any other Windows, then you should Keep C++ 2008 and remove 2005.

so you need to decide it according to your windows version and if it's X64 or X86 !

Good luck

That rules out that half of those redistributables I should keep. Why on x64 Windows7 should I keep 2005 and remove 2008 ?

I have X64.

Which C++ redistributable do you have ?

Ok, If you're using Windows 7 X64, then you need to KEEP Visual C++ 2005 X64
and remove the Other stuff

and If you're Using Windows Vista X64, then Keep Visual C++ 2008 X64, and Remove all the remain !

It's Technician things, but to make it easy to understand, Windows 7 is made and built based on Visual C++ 2005....

and they made Visual C++ 2008 as an update for Windows Vista and other OS.

thank you for the answer, I'll just keep all of them installed :)

Hi

Those we're installed on purpose, if you'd remove one of them chances are some application might not work after that.
