Downloader Virus and more

I recently got this virus on my computer that at times seems to be undetectable by my Symantic and AVG virus protection while at other times is identified by Symantic as the Downloader virus. I've also run ad-aware and spybot but everything comes up cleared. The symptoms of the virus include browsers randomly opening up, without my command, and also when I do a search and click a website listed, random search engine home pages and advertisement listings open up instead.

Could it be the downloader virus?
If it is the downloader virus, why does it return even after having been deleted by Symantic?

... To make matters worse, my laptop won't hibernate anymore. May it be that the virus is constantly running?

I know there are many other virus protection software to download but my computer is running sooo slow, I want to be sure the software will be what I'm looking for before I download just anythiing.

Any advice would be really appreciated... I don't want to let my laptop go :(

IT sounds like you still have malware there, Baby. AV services don't bother themselves with adware etc. But these two tools do. The first is a superb cleaning tool, the second let's us see what is running on your computer. Firstly...
==Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

or: http://www.besttechie.net/tools/mbam-setup.exe
=Dclick that file, mbam-setup.exe, to install the application,
-ensure that it is set to update and start, else start it via the icon, and UPDATE it.
Select "Perform QUICK Scan", then click Scan; the application will guide you through the remaining steps.
ENSURE that EVERYTHING found has a CHECKMARK against it, then click Remove Selected.
If malware has been found [and removed] MBAM will automatically produce a log for you when it completes... do not click the Save Logfile button.
Examine the log: if some files are listed as Delete on Reboot then restart your machine before continuing.
Copy and post that log [it is also saved under Logs tab in MBAM].
Then...
==download hijackthis: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download5554.html
-copy it to a new FOLDER placed either alongside your program files or on your desktop and then...
-in that folder start HijackThis by dclicking the .exe
-CLOSE ALL OTHER APPLICATIONS and any open windows including the explorer window containing HijackThis.
-click the Scan and Save a Logfile button. Post the log here.

Hello, BabyD, no matter, good that it is working better, but there are a few oddities about your AVG installation and we should fix those, you still have remnants of Symantec and so I shall guide you to remove those, but there is still malware, and a winlogon entry is not quite right.
Firstly then, start hijackthis, click Scan, in the window that opens place checkmarks against all the entries listed below that still exist, and then press Fix Checked.

Good. Now find this file and delete it:
C:\Documents and Settings\NetworkService\Local Settings\Application Data\txnkbdldt\ijadbqdtssd.exe
[if it will not delete then in hijackthis find the Misc Tools section via either Main Menu or Config buttons, press Delete a File on Reboot and in the window which opens browse to the file, press Open and then restart... ]

To cleanly uninstall Norton/Symantec AV services get the correct tool from.... http://service1.symantec.com/Support/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039
Finally, AVG - it appears to be installed badly, with files in strange folders; I suggest that after the above procedure you uninstall AVG 9 and then run the installer file again.

Baby D, I use Avast Free Edition, Avira Free is also very good, perhaps better. AVG scores somewhat lower now. I should add Comodo.. they also have a free AV service which includes their firewall . I do not know how their AV service rates in testing.
==Get CCleaner from http://www.ccleaner.com/ - and install it in a new folder. You should keep this one for general use. I set the installation checkboxes only to open from the recycle bin. It's neater that way.
Now run CCleaner from the recycle bin rclick menu using its default settings [if you set up CCleaner as i suggested, rclicking the bin icon should give you the Open CCleaner option...].
If you have FireFox open the Applications tab and ensure at least that Cookies and Cache are checked.
Select the Cleaner icon, press Run Cleaner.
Run CCleaner in any other Accounts.
[To customize file cleaning select the options you wish to use via the Windows and Applications tabs ..]
Now please run hijackthis again and post that fresh log.. I wish to check if that file and its keys were completely removed.

Gee, Baby.. nice... so AVG were not up to date on that one.. Roadkill virus. Interesting.
So you are going with Kaspersky? Looks like AVG did not uninstall entirely, so use hijackthis to remove these entries.

Now to remove that service..
==Go Start, run, type services.msc -and press Enter. Maximise the window and at foot select Extended tab, scroll to the specific service, rclick it, select properties. Write down the exact Service Name. Press Stop if it is highlighted [you may have to set the service Startup type to Disable first]. Close Services, now type this line into the run text box and press Enter:
sc delete "exact Service Name" - don't be silly now....

Hey Gerbil... sorry for being a bit tardy on the replies and thank you so much for your help!! As of now my computer is running great and I haven't had any random browsers pop-up. The only thing that still doesn't seem to be working is the hibernation.

Hey Gerbil, ok so I've been online and working with my laptop for a few hours now, I am still getting random tabs popping up with ads relating to the word I just searched on Google, I think this means I still have malware. Should I run the malware protection scanner again??

Ohh.. how frustrating. I thought I posted the log but I can't see it! Sorry about that, ok I shall repost the updated hijackthis log but firstly, I would just like to let you know, my sister (who is somewhat a computer whiz) downloaded Kaspersky in an effort to help and now my computer is hibernating and I have no random pop-ups :)!!!! I think Kaspersky was able to detect and delete the virus, which was a roadkick virus (I think she said something like that). It devastates me that such a thing as a Beiber has happened.
You have one of the rolls-royce AV suites there... gotta trust it a little bit. Stay outta the trashy sites... boxing, gambling, sex... that sorta thing.:) Even mouse-overs can do you in, so it is getting easier to get hit.

It was really hard to understand your words there... lol, you got a little too technical but I like that, it gets me learning. Now I know what you mean by AV and mouse-over :) I can't thank you enough for all your help and genius-ness, it's really appreciated.

Master... just to make sure I fully remove the virus, do I begin hammering at the motherboard or the monitor first? or should I do it both at the same time? :) Ouuu if I had a penny for the amount of times I was tempted to do that!!

hahahaha gerbil, you're funny.... and master r so are you!!! Good thing I didn't take your advice though, gerbil healed my computer... buttt it's been almost a year and I'm facing another issue... I get the weirdest thing when I open my internet explorer (I only use it on occasion, usually it's firefox). I have a pic of what comes up, where can I post it? I know it's related to whatever virus I have.
