Need Help with these remarks and Canon as well......

Hello All,

Sorry I am not a GEEK. I am kinda embarrassed to be here cos I know so little about pc and tech.

1. I like to ask the community for a favor - ie. If you have a copy of MP190 Canon Printer software, can you kindly burn me a copy because I have lost mine recently and need it to upload to my new HDD otherwise I cant use my printer.

2. I have a very old software FP3D+ which I install onto my Win7Home Premium and although I can open this program, it toss out the following :- Error reading FPwin3.cfg
Error reading FPWin3.sty

Can someone kindly point me to the right fix ? (I am not good with window registry but I can follow exact instructions by piece meal.
So sorry for not being good in this area.

My reply:-

1. I have the software and drivers downloaded but it wont work even when i clik OPEN so i could not the printer nor scanner - even though its connected - USB ON.

2. The other question re : FP3D+ This is the name of the software by IMSI - Floorplan3D+
Its a very old program but the only program I know how to use well. Think it was given to me in the years when we had Win98.

1) Did you select the correct OS. There are different softwares for different OS.

2) I went to the site and found this. It seems like it only works on Windows Vista and cannot work on Win 7. I am not too sure about that.

It used to work with Win98 and Win XP prior to Winxp service pack 3. (sorry I am talking about the FP3D+ software here.)
But it wont work now. And without Win XP3 - my Viewsonic screen wont work proper for the floorplan either. So its a catch 22. I like to thank you for your kind attention.

How about your first problem. Did you solved it? For the second part of the question about the FP3D softawre, can it work on Windows Xp now. Forget about working on Windows 7 first, we must get it to work on other older version of OS first. Tell me can it work on Windows Xp on another laptop if you have one.

Hi pixelbean,

I use FloorPlan Plus 3D. It's really excellent !

The original Company is ComputerEasy that was purchased by IMS in 1995.

IMSI destroys that gorgeus product.

I used it for a long time and now I'm changing my machines into VMs (Virtual Machine from VMware) and I'm getting the same error:

error reading fpwin3.cfg

I'm trying somethings and I'll reply my future success (or not) soon.

By the way, do you have the program called "3D Design by ComputerEasy" ?

It's used to build 3D devices (e.g. Furniture) to FloorPlan 3D.

FOUND IT !

The problem occurr with FP3 installator.

It damage Windows XP registry regardind read/write opperations with FPWIN3.exe

WORKARROUND

1) Install FP3 in a dummy computer.

2) DO NOT RUN nothing and simply copy folder \FP3 (and save it for future installations)

3) Paste it in your new computer.

4) READY ! Simply click in FPWIN3.exe and you will have the gorgeous version of it back again !
