Hi there,
just added a sata hdd to my system (other hdd is ide)
the sata drive is recognised in the bios and device manager
but not in my computer. any tips please? I am running xp home on an intel 865 board with 2.6 intel processor.

How is this possible? What do you mean, it's not recognised in your computer?
Jump to PostMake sure it has a drive letter. Go into Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management and choose Disk Management from the left pane. Right-click the drive, pick "Change Drive Letter" and start fiddling.
