hello guys well my cosin has this win95 laptop and its pretty messeed so he gave it to me so i can fix it, i have tried using a win95 boot disk but ists all messed


THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS
1- i turn n the computer
2- its says theres a whole bunch of errors like HMA MISSING ( high memory area)
3- it takes me to the menu of what should i do so i try safe mode and the rest they all ddont work because thers files in my windows regestry missing,
4- so i try some stuff in the safe comand prompt
but the system.dat is missing and all other importent stuff


WHAT SHOULD I DO TO MAKE THE COMPUTER WORK >> AT LEAST GET TO THE DESKTOP AND ICONS!!

plz someone help me

It realy looks that harddisk got messed up...or also it caused by quick format applied earlier in case of installation.
It will not be restored through DOS you need to re-install.

Through its bootable media.

I would say that if there aren't any important documents that you should just reformat and reinstall windows.
