I have a really weird problem with mpeg videos, rundll32 and windows explorer. Whenever I navigate to a folder with MPEG videos inside I instantly recieve a message that reads 'Windows Host Process (Rundll32) has stopped working' and then in smaller print it reads 'A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program.' So I hit the close button at the bottom of the box and the box comes up again, and again at random intervals only while I'm in the folder with the mpeg video. Once I exit and close the dialog boxes they don't come back until I am near a mpeg file again. Windows Explorer stays open and its not really an issue, but its REALLY annoying!

Thanks In Advance

This seems to be a codec problem from the sound of it. Windows attempts to use the proper codec needed for a partiular video so that it can create a preview iamge. I would first try to update the codec to its latest version.

To find out which codecs particular video files use you can use this utility:

It worked, I thought it couldn't be fixed but thanks so much!
