greetings to all and thanks for taking the time to read this...

ill get down to the point - whenever i go into my documents or any folder non-internet related, it immediately stops working and needs to shut down... i have a problem report up right now on Vista which says it is because of something called mpegsplitter.ax
to be honest i have no idea what this is or where it came from... and im very famililar with this computer and what goes onto the drives

Are you sure your not joking about this process i mean how obvious it is that this may be the cause C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe end the process in task manager (ctrl + shift + esc)

I would ask the same question:
Are you kidding?

If you do not know what this is (easily the most recognized executable in a Spyware forum for the last 8-9 years), you really have no business posting in such a forum.
