Hello I am new here can anyone help me. OK about two months out of the blue I am not able to access Internet Explorer or Firefox pages. I have contacted Verizon and they did a ping test and I am able to access the interenet and get email in Outlook and thru my laptop wireless which is how I am able to type this message..Verizon even sent me a new router for fear that the old one was damage..I still can not log onto any websites to the PC that is connected to the router ONLY..I keep getting a message :This page can not be displayed"

Also let me add I have dell running Windows XP srv2...I also opened the command prompt and type "netsh int ip reset
resetlog.txt". I was told this will reset Winsock but still having the same problems.

Is there a way for you to connect this computer straight on to the internet without using the router? Please try and let us know the results.
By the way, where are you located? Country I mean. There is a listing in your log that could indicate something you don't want, but it depends on your location.
Also, please turn off the P2P program, Limewire until this problem is solved.

HI Judy, thanks for Responding...I have Verizon Fios internet so I can only connect my desktop to my coaxial from the wall to router to PC... I can get on both of my wireless laptops fine and can get outlook email on my desktop fine too...I called tec support at Verizon and they show me connected to the internet so they are unable to help me

Do you think it may be a virus or spyware blocking me from accessing the internet it was just working fine...and Verizon sent me a new router yesterday just in case if it was damage but I'm still having the same issues..

Honestly only see a couple things in the log which can be fixed, though I don't know that these would have an effect on the problem or not, won't hurt though to get these out of there

You ask if a virus or trojan could have an affect on this, of course. Have you run your antivirus program to see if it comes up with something?
I have to be honest here, since I don't use a router and this is not within my area of knowledge then I cannot say for certain what the problem is.
Only thing I have been able to find that you may not have done, the first was change the router, which you have done, next is change the cable. Bad cable can do this also.
Know your laptops are using wireless connection but have you tried plugging into one of these laptops and see if the problem occurs on it?
