Hello,

when I am doing a google search the links get redirected to ads. I have used everything - fsecure, adaware etc to try to find the spyware but I can't.

You might try running HiJackThis again, place check marks next to the following listings;

After you have placed the check marks then click the Fix Checked button and Exit HJT.
Reboot.
I would also advise you do at least the MBA-M install and scan noted here and post back with that log.
