When I use my computer without wireless it works perfect. When I add a wireless component to the computer it slows down immensely until it freezes with every click of the mouse. It doesn't matter if I use usb wireless or a wireless card. I have tried virus scanners, anti malwarebytes and cannot try eset because I can't operate online. I am using Windoows 7 and have three other computers in the house that have no trouble. I have the same trouble when I connect with an ethernet cable. Any Suggestions?

This sounds suspiciously like a hardware interrupt problem, given this happens with USB, wireless card, and wired ethernet. My guess is that there is a fault in the motherboard and/or interrupt controller for the board.

Would a hardware problem allow me to connect to the internet in safe mode, as I am right now? I really don't know.

Is the performance still slow while networking in safe mode? If it worked in normal mode (albeit slow), then it should work in safe mode as well. If it is a hardware problem, it is more one of system stability vs. non-functioning altogether.

No the performance is not slow at all in safe mode and in normal mode performance is non existent. If I try to go online in normal mode it freezes immediately. Maybe 3 minutes for a window to open but don't dare click the mouse if you want that window to open. This happens if I connect to the internet, if I start without connecting the computer runs fine. The moment or should I say within one minute of connecting the trouble starts. I have run eset also and found nothing. This is extremely weird to me. I have no guesses left and searching online in the forums is not helping as this is a very unique issue beyond my diagnosis capabilities.

You can connect to the internet while in safe mode? If so, then it doesn't experience a slow-down? If that is the case, it kind of shoots down my thinking about interrupt storms. What about A/V and firewalls? If you disable them, does that change behavior?

check your antivirus software, and close firewall. try ag

I disabled windows firewall and avast and there was no change. I've shut down all programs that run with start up and still no change.

At least give us a DDS Scan log so we can see what may be going on, right now this is like shooting in the dark. We have no idea what may be running that could be causing this. If it runs fine in safe mode then this leads me to think it has to be either a setting or program that runs in normal mode but of course doesn't run in safe mode.

Download DDS by sUBs and save it to your Desktop.

If your AV has a script blocker, please disable it
• DoubleClick on dds.scr to run the tool

* A command box will open, displaying added information for your reading pleasure while DDS completes its scan.
* Upon completion, a Dialog Box should open instructing you to save and post the TWO resulting logs (DDS.txt & Attach.txt).

Copy&Paste both the DDS.txt and the DDS Attach.txt into your post for assistance.

It can be run in safe mode if needed to do so.

We requested that these logs be copy/pasted

==== End Of File ===========================

Now clarify something;
You said this:
When I use my computer without wireless it works perfect.
And then you said:
I have the same trouble when I connect with an ethernet cable

This is rather confusing, if you NOT using wireless or ethernet cable then how can you connect???
I don't understand at all, I am sorry.
Do you mean that as long as you ARE NOT going on the internet the computer works well?
Has the computer ever worked correctly while online?

Yes I meant that if I do not connect to the internet while in normal mode the computer works fine. I've never connected this computer by wire until I started having trouble. I have been online regularly with this computer and it always worked correctly. I am able to go online while in safe mode without any trouble.

Exactly WHEN did this begin? Date I mean. The reason I ask is that it shows in your log on 7/7/2011 you removed the Linksys Wireless-G PCI Adapter.

Have you gone through and disabled any Windows Services? I am not saying you should, I am asking if you have and have you run any other security programs other than ESET?
Update MBA-M and run a Full Scan with it. Have it remove anything found. You will have to update via Safe Mode BUT, then go offline, reboot in normal mode and run the scan.

Yes I was having trouble with my wireless connection so I tried to install a different wireless card. I could not find a proper driver for that wireless card so I reinstalled the old card and things were fine until the 25th I believe. The trouble on 7/7/2011 was only wireless connection. The latest trouble was the computer freezing up and through a series of trial and error I discovered that as long as I am not online while in normal mode I have no trouble and being online in safe mode is no trouble.

I have run MBA-M But for the sake of caution I will do it again the way you are saying because I am not sure if that is how I ran the scan before or if I just ran it in safe mode
I have disabled services that run with start up only

I have disabled services that run with start up only
Did you do this before or after the problem began?

MBA-M should ALWAYS be run in Normal mode unless it will not run at all. It was created to be run in NORMAL mode. It does not work like other scanners and therefore will NOT scan everything in Safe Mode.

These services are REQUIRED for your internet to work properly.
Please check to be sure that ALL of these services listed here are enabled and NOT disabled.
http://www.blackviper.com/wiki/WLAN_AutoConfig#Additional_Information

There are very FEW Windows Services that should be completely disabled. Please read the information found on this website concerning Services and their proper configuration and then please set yours to the recommended DEFAULT configuration and reboot the computer:
http://www.blackviper.com/2010/12/17/black-vipers-windows-7-service-pack-1-service-configurations/

Note:
Manual ~ Manual mode allows Windows to start a service when needed.

Disabled ~ This setting will stop a service from starting, even if needed. Errors in the Event Viewer will show up complaining of that fact. Some services, while Disabled, will constantly complain. However, this situation is taken care of if placed in Manual. You have a LOT of Event Errors showing and none of these Services should be Disabled but they obviously are disabled or something they are dependent on has been changed to disabled because they were unable to start.

The only services I disabled was windows media player sharing. I can go online while in safe mode so wouldn't something that is only operational in normal mode be interfering with my internet connection.
I disabled services from running at start up not in the services menu.

OK I have done the mba-m scan 0 infected checked the services list and the only services disabled are the media player sharing and I have switched that to manual. I am running a disk scan while looking at the event viewer I came across errors that say a bad block is detected on the hard drive.

Run the disc check utility with the "scan for bad blocks" option enabled. You will probably need to reboot the system so it can do that. It will map the bad block out of use. If some service that is running under normal mode is either located on that block, or accesses data on that block, this should fix it. Newer discs have SMART controllers that monitor the health of the drive. I don't know about Windows 7, but current Linux distributions have the ability to monitor that. If you can view the SMART data, it may indicate whether or not your drive is starting to fail. Since SMART will automatically map bad sectors up to some limited number, normally the OS won't see bad sectors until that number is exceeded and the drive controller can no longer remove them from use.

It would appear that the problem was bad blocks after running the scan disk utility and the reboot all seems to be well again. Thanks for your help everyone.

Glad you found the problem.
