I am a Windows XP Pro SP2 user and I would like to know how I can activate the request to press Ctrl - Alt - Del when the computer is started?

Also:

I would like to create a message which appears after CTRL-ALT-DEL telling people the computer rules??

Hope u can help ;)

Hello there,

For that you'll need to diable the welcome screen, to do so
go to the "Control Panel" and
open "User Accounts" then
click on "Change the way users log on and off" and
untick "Use the welcome screen".
That's about it.

As for your other question, the only way I know of in XP requires editing the registery. So I'll hold on and see if anyone else will post a more straight forward solution. If not I'll give you the one I know.

Good luck

Ciao for now.

HI, i have a very easy way to activate this request.

1. go to this link: http://www.softheap.com/newadmin.html
2. download 1st security agent.
3. once you have downloaded it enter 62219850503687 to register it.
4. on the lefthand side go to network.
5. Click the box which says require users to press ctrl+alt+delete.
6. close program and apply the restrictions.
7. log off and it's done.

now to show people the rules you need to:

1. Go in to 1st security agent.
2. on the lefthand side go to legal notice.
3. Click the box saying promt shown on login box.
4. below the box on the right hand side click change.
5. type your rules and click o.k.
6. close program and apply the restrictions.
7. logoff and it's done.

after all this restart your machine.

please reply if it works

thanks.

Before you do the steps below you must make sure that the Welcome screen is disabled. To do this go to control panel, users, change how users log on/off, then un-check "Welcome Screen".

Some people are saying that you have to download things when you really don't. All you have to do is open Run, then type
control userpasswords, press open , go to advanced, and then click "require users to press CTRL ALT DELETE to log on" Hope I helped

Hope I helped!
