Hello everybody!
I have a Dell vostro 1520 (OS: Win 7) with no internal mic, and used a headset. I used VoIP and even speech recognition on my system. But all of a sudden the microphone doesn't work. The mic is recognized but when I tested it with sound recorder no sound was recorded. I tested my friend's headset on my laptop but again no sound was recorded and no speech recognition and... I'm sure my mic is working perfectly but I just have no idea why no mic is working on my laptop:(
can anybody help me?

First open up volumne control and make sure that the mute checkbox is unchecked.

If still under warranty and they are unable to fix the fault, I would ask for a refund.

try to other working pc put your mic their, if you cannot hear any sound from your mic something wrong with your microphone...
