hi, and welcome to daniweb .Its not only ok to use the power button to shut down you laptop with the power button after a blue screen error ,its the only way ,
download BLUESCREEVIEWER and run it and then copy/paste the log it creates back here it might/should point to a file causing the BSOD . download link .

Caused By Driver: dxgkrnl.sys, that file is a Microsoft DirectX system driver file.
it could be you video drive having issue with directx or directx having issue with the video adapter
searching around i find suggestions of installing latest directx and uninstall video drivers and installing latest from video card manufacturers web site ,

check laptop to see if you have directx 11 already ,first, shows how in link below .
http://www.webcamsoft.com/en/directx.html

directx 11 download .
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=17431

also it could be a ram issue so if you can ,download and create a boot disk of memtest86 and boot the laptop to it and let it run for a few hrs to check your ram .it a free program .just click on the free download link to the left .
http://www.memtest86.com/

also run speccy if you need to find out video device type .
run it let it do its scan ,then go to file and publish snapshot and copy to clipboard and past the link back here if you need help with it ,

Thanks again.. u were great help

hey i have directx 11 in my laptop um also i dont know how to use the memtest86 i downloaded it but i dont know what to do next? can i get some help please?

ok ,so the windows download will be a .zip file it will contain a ISO file ,thats a image of the memtest program ,so you need to have a program to burn the iso to disk ,this free one is used when computer doesn't have iso burning software all ready .after disk it burnt reboot computer with disk in the drive and it should boot to it and run automatically ,if it fails to boot to it , use a F-key [usually f10 or f11 ]do this when you first boot laptop before going into windows ,to bring up boot options and choose internal cd/dvd drive
http://www.freeisoburner.com/

also on the memtest page it give help in using program check the technical info link on the left by the download link on memtest site

if memtest shows memory being ok i will post some info for checking for a bad file or driver

Hey i am doing the memtest now. how many passes should i do? i checked it out on another forum it says i should do 7 passes. is it right?

it wouldn't hurt to let it run overnight

I just finished doing 7 passess and i didnt get an error? what should i do now?

i guess the rams ok
imn running out of ideas ,looking around the net seeing others with the same issues with the same games , i think it could be a problem with that games and other game having a problem working with directx 11'

lets check and see if we can make it blue screen ,do the following
================
you can try and create some by running the driver verifier, which will stress-test your non-MS drivers. If the verifier flags a driver, it will BSOD the system. To re-start,

To run the driver verifier - bring up an elevated administrative cmd/DOS prompt:
START | type cmd.exe | right-click on cmd.exe uptop under programs | Run as Administrator | type verifier & hit enter - the Verifier screen will appear | do the following:

1. Select 2nd option - Create custom settings (for code developers)
2. Select 2nd option - Select individual settings from a full list.
3. Check the boxes
• Special Pool
• Pool Tracking
• Force IRQL checking
4. Select last option - Select driver names from a list
5. Click on the Provider heading - sorts list by Provider
6. Check ALL boxes where Microsoft is not the Provider
7. Click on Finish
8. Re-boot if it doesn't make machine BSOD

I did everything you said above and it didn't make a BSOD so i reboot the machine.. sorry I keep troubling you.

not sure if that verifier even works ,2 time i told someone to use it did not bsod the computer so i guess it not what the other help forum said it was .sorry .

not sure what else to tell you ,i for get and to save me from reading all the post again did you or do you have the latest video card drivers installed

aw right.. well I only got this laptop a few months ago so I haven't installed any new video card drivers.. do u know a software that i check which driver i have?

and also i forgot to tell u i used to have vlc player as well it used to work fine but since i got the blue screen error with the games i started getting a blue screen error with vlc player as well so i just uninstalled that.

its so new you might want to consider contacting the maker and sending it back for Warranty.it maybe a serious hardware issue
what is the exact model of the laptop

download speccy install and run it ,then go to File, and publish snap shot, copy to clicpboard and paste it here ,it will show all.
