My monitor - a Viewsonic E70f has developed a pale green patch in the top right corner. The green area is only faint but it has appeared since I installed a new video card. (Chaintech nvdia GeForce 4200 128mb), The monitor is only a couple of years old. Any ideas? :(

Is there a speaker nearby that location? The magnets on speakers will create that symptom if they are too close to your monitor.

Thanks for the hint on the speakers. I went home and started to move the speakers and my son admitted that wasn't the problem - he had actually dropped the monitor! However, the good news is that the green spot has almost disappeared.
