hello guys,
Im hoping someone out their can help me, a little over a year ago i bought a new motherboard specefically the MSI G41M-P26 board with 2 gigs of DDR3 1333 (scaled down to 800Mhz) i recently decided to upgrade my ram as i now need more memory so i went down and bought 4 gig`s of DDR3 1333 module (kingston) but when i tried to install it my MOBO doesnt want to POST. I tried booting with only the 4 gig module first in the DIMM 1 slot and then in the DIMM 2 slot but i get the same result no POST, but if i insert the 2 gig module only it then POSTs i tried this in both slots and both times it passes the POST i tried flashing the bios to the latest version but i still get the same issue failed POST. so what i wanted to know was:
A: has any one els had the same issue with the same board and if so did you find the solution?
B: does anyone know what the problem might be, and how to fix it?
C: What is the Max amount of memory that this board can take per DIMM slot?
