I'm having a problem,
my drive been using 100% of the CPU lately, for simple task as transfering a picture or application installation.
It never done this before and it's a headache because now i can't even listen to music from the drive or play music while working with the drive, because it skips and the sound goes blurry sort of.

i first noticed this when i inserted a game's play cd, and i also tried it with different CD types.
Is there anyway to fix this or where should i start with a problem like this?

How much memory is installed? Inadequate memory can be the problem.
Also CD and DVD drives have a notoriously high failure rate. It may be that yours has reached the end of its useful product life and requires a replacement... particularly if it is over a year old, or you use it a lot.
