am working on a dell dimension 3000 desktop computer, it stoped posting and after some troubleshooting i concluded the cpu had parked. i actually got another p4 478 processor which worked. but after buying another one it could not post, not even the one which had worked earlier on. but when you put the processor in its original pc it works very well.

pliz any one with a solution to this problem

Did you change/try another PSU b 4 plunking down for a new CPU?
