Hi,
I have a Toshiba Satellite P100 Laptop, which I bought 2-3 years ago. I accidentally knocked the lower left-hand-side of the laptop while using it (I didn't hit it very hard), and it immediately switched off. Now it's not switching back on. It doesn't respond when I press the power button. When I move it around, I can hear a loose part. What do you think happened and is it likely that it could be fixed? I'm worried that I will loose all my files and photos.
I'll take it to a computer repair store asap, but thought I would ask for advice first.

As you have another PC (it seems)), buy a USB external enclosure for your 2½" disk drive. Remove it from the Tosh, place it in the enclosure, put in into the USB slot of the other PC and get your key files off.

Then get the Tosh repaired after putting the drive back in.
